The growing bond between supporters and Gillingham Football Club is just one of the strengths that is taking the club forward.
Further proof of this bond has been evidenced by the decision of the Gillingham FC Supporters’ Club (GFCSC), and Club Class Travel, to join together and help the club to pay towards the much-needed improvements to the home dressing room.
A significant sum of money was made available to the club to help bring the home dressing room up to date during the summer.
GFCSC committee members recently paid a visit to look over the new facilities, prior to The Gills’ 3-0 home win over Tranmere Rovers.
The Supporters’ Club would like to thank Peter Lloyd, from Club Class Travel, for all his help with making this donation possible.
Gillingham’s Managing Director, Joe Comper, was quick to acknowledge the gesture, commenting:
"I'd like to thank the Supporters' Club, along with Peter Lloyd, Club Class Travel and our fans who regularly travel to away fixtures by coach, for their support in coming together over the last year, subsequently helping to raise funds which have been used to help make important refurbishments to our home dressing room.
"Our relationship with the Supporters' Club has grown significantly over the last 18 months and we are thankful to the committee members who brought the idea to us at one of our regular meetings at the stadium.
"We look forward to working with the GFCSC on a number of exciting projects in the future."
